Quilt of Many Colors

I finally finished a quilt I have been planning to make for Kalyn for many months. It’s a crib sized quilt with patches sewn on top. Each of the patches are a different fabric, and the fabrics are a wide variety of colors and textures.  Originally I was just going to sew the pieces directly together, but when I went to the quilt show in Idaho Falls a couple months ago I was inspired to try this design instead.  I’m really very pleased at how well it turned out.

I am so proud of you! It looks beautiful. I would love to be able to see it! Looks like quilting will live on after Grandma!!!!!

That’s for sure! Kate’s a chip off the OLD block (that’s you)–as opposed to a chip off the YOUNG block (that’s me). :o) The quilt is beautiful. Maybe I will have a better chance of receiving a quilt from Katie then I did from Gramma? Hmmmmm.
